What did you just say??

I have been even more keenly aware of perspective lately.....and it feels at times that it is a double edged dance between thinking we can say something that shifts a perspective, or just letting it be......and maybe I am even more aware of that because I am in the business, quite literally, of working to do that often, either through teaching or coaching......that is my job......to impart understanding either in a literal sense, or in a personal development sense.....and our perspectives are sewn together with tough thread......woven from a mixture of our own life experience, as well as our feelings about things, our belief systems, our wounds, our joys, and so much more......it is personal for sure, but more than anything our perspectives don't really have to do with anybody at all......filtering everything through our own perception......in fact I would go another step further and say that nothing is "real" at all, at least not as our human selves understand "real".....I know that is a little deep for early on a Saturday morning lol:) But I mean it.....our perspectives are our own.....and I work hard to try and not attach to mine too tightly if I can help it......letting it evolve and change if it needs to......trying not to lock in.....allowing new information or insight to change my mind......and as I have learned to do that more, it is not my natural inclination;-), it has changed everything.......and as we travel, more and more clarity and understanding, should develop within us, if we are open to open up to that perspective.......however that can only be the case if we are wired for that expansion too.....we all know people that are more closed off, that have believed and moved in the world from the same places all of their lives......and it is beautiful when two differing perspectives can come together in harmony......but that is often not so either......or maybe not as often as we hope it will be in day to day life.....and sometimes it is worth our energy to shift perspective.....or try, and sometimes I just don't think it is.......and as I said the dance is everything......I see political battles wage on social media between people and personally, my belief:), is that that place is a complete waste of time and energy, and maybe that hasn't always been the case, but in the current climate that is true......there are not many people changing their minds about anything.......perspective having its say.....and perhaps while I think that it is kind of a waste to expend energy there, I am never less fascinated by hearing the interpretation of something expressed, the same thing, in two very different ways.....and while I never comment, if I can help it......I watch and read.......and just find it all fascinating......but above all, in terms of perspective, I do think it is important to "feed" it......because it is how we experience the world, or our world, and really a lot of what drives how others experience us too! .....And filling it with beautiful things.....good books.....great talks with friends........inspiring stuff......mindfulness and time in contemplation, I think are perhaps some of the only things that have the power to shift it. I started by saying that I think it is a hard thing to change.....or shift within people......but maybe as I have explored it this morning......that isn't entirely true......I do clearly know though now, maybe better than ever, when my energy is being wasted in trying to find common ground......and life is a beautiful dance of when to hang on and when to let go....that is so true.....and there is so much to learn, and be open to learning:) And once upon a time, I felt my perspective was stagnant, and stuck some.....and I no longer feel that, and never want to again:) Open to being wrong or to changing my mind, on repeat! Happy Saturday! Enjoy:)

I never wanted this to be the truth.....

I think we all live in duality within us.....Having conflicting parts of us vying for the center stage of who we are......some of those things being great, and maybe some not so great......things that
