I have been having THE MOST incredible week.......life changing really....people tell you about Wyoming or the West and the beauty found there but it is something that needs to be experienced to be understood.......truly.......and I think the thing that has struck me the most about this place is the remote feeling......in every way......I have truly unplugged in ways I maybe never have from the real world......this is a place that is trapped in time.....like a time capsule......old fashioned.......slowed down......intentional......and the special part is that I am getting to see the places less traveled......my friend taking us to all of her favorite places that are local and off the beaten path.......not the normal ones people see when they come.....and my intention is to make it back here some day with my kids.....it really is, but if it is not in my plan, or cards, and our travels take us elsewhere, Wyoming will hold a special place in my heart through the time I got to spend here.....but there is a disconnect from the "real" world.......or real life that is hard to explain.....I feel it so deeply.....and it does feel like an escape some in a way that is hard to explain......they have a little grocery store......but the nearest big stores are hours away.....it is a one horse town for sure and 2 hours from Jackson Hole......and so that creates a culture of people that are drawn to that kind of slow and present living......we had another adventure yesterday and had a picnic at this amazing place and then did the music in the mountains event at a ranch.....and I was looking around at all the families, and couples, and they were all so sweet,,,,,,wholesome.....filled with goodness, and a love of nature, and family.....and the people I have met here.....my friend's people are all such good seeming humans.....all making their way here through their own ways.....or having this be home.....and the call to live here is a particular one, no doubt.....I do not think that I could ever live here full time.......but I understand so fully why you would want to......the magnificence of it, cannot be overstated......and it has helped me slow down in a way that I did not even realize I needed to.......I haven't done too much with my business while I have been here......not even doing my Saturday video for the first time in years.....choosing to really and fully unplug.....catch my breath from the hustle.....lean in and be present in every way......and it was so necessary.....and the intention my friend used to create this experience for all of us was such a precious gift to me, despite my coming here to celebrate her.....she returned that gift to those of us that came here tenfold.....Today we really celebrate her and her real birthday and I cannot wait:) xoxo We came to give her gifts but she gave us the gift truly:)
